Tech Valley News GE Lands $2M Defense Contract Learn more at GE Niskayuna lab gets $2.02M defense contract GE’s Global Research Center in Tech Valley will develop a new material to effectively remove heat from semicondusctor chips and conduct it to a metal heat shield. GE received a contract worth nearly $2.02 million from the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego to develop this thermal interface material which would allow for more powerful processors and impact many industies such as information technology and avionics.
