Tech Valley News Albany Ranked a Top Market for Young Adults Learn more at Best Markets for Young Adults Portfolio.com recently ranked the best markets for young adults and placed Albany 24th among the 67 largest metro areas in the U.S. Factors in the rankings included growth rate, employment rate, cost of living, population of young adults and how of them have college degrees. Albany was 18th for share of population in 18-34 range and 21st for members of that age group with bachelor's degrees. Albany placed #2 overall in New York state and sixth among all Northeast cities.
