Tech Valley News Forbes: Region Among "Best Bang for Buck" Albany-Schenectady-Troy ranked 30th while Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown checked in at number 56 on Forbes’ list of America’s Best-Bang-for-the-Buck Cities. The ranking was based on a city's health of the housing market, job growth forecast and overall affordability and convenience of a metro area. The two largest metropolitan areas of Tech Valley were propelled stable job and housing markets based on low foreclosures, housing vacancies and unemployment rates.
