Tech Valley News Springsteen, Dead Highlight Concert Scene A number of top rock music acts will make their way through the region this spring. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2009 tour will make a stop in Tech Valley on May 14 at the Times Union Center in Albany. Tickets – which start at $67 – go on sale Monday, Feb. 2. Springsteen recently released his latest album “Working on a Dream” and will perform at halftime at Super Bowl on Feb. 2 in Tampa, Fla. A month before Springsteen arrives in the region, The Grateful Dead will perform at the Times Union Center on Apr. 17. Tickets are also on sale for this show. The lineup for this version of The Dead will be Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Warren Haynes and Jeff Chimenti. Other major music acts to have either made their way through the region or will make a stop in Tech Valley in 2009 include The Pretenders, The Doobie Brothers and Willie Nelson.
