Tech Valley News HVCC Receives $2M from US Labor Dept Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) will receive nearly $2 million from the U.S. Department of Labor to help prepare the area's workers for careers in the energy industry. The award was part of $123 million given to 68 community colleges and community-based institutions that competed successfully under the president's Community-Based Job Training Grants Initiative. Awardees were chosen from among 274 applications. The Community-Based Job Training Grant will improve HVCC’s ability to provide Tech Valley’s workers with the skills needed to enter the region’s growing industries.
